The
Foundation for Christian Studies (FCS) is a non-profit
organization dedicated to the study, teaching, and practice of
Christianity according to the doctrines and principles of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormonism). The
website is intended to inspire all people, regardless of
religious affiliation, to come together in support of
essential Christian values and compassionate service to God’s
children across the globe. The FCS accomplishes this by
providing rich scriptural course study, access to spiritual
web forums, an online store offering inspirational Christian
media, and a charitable giving program.
The founder and board of advisors of the FCS are members of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and therefore
the principles and doctrines of Christianity taught on this
website are aligned with those of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints (Mormonism). However, this web site is
designed for people interested in learning more about all
faiths and Christianity in general as a form of spiritual
exploration. Through earnest study toward the understanding of
the gospel of Jesus Christ we can grow in our desire to love
and serve the Savior—leading to an increase of spiritual peace
and freedom in our lives and a commitment to reach out to
those who are less fortunate.

Does
Mormonism have any biblical foundations? Can Mormonism
stand upright on the platform of the Bible alone, or would
it fracture and topple over if not propped up with modern
scripture, such as The Book of Mormon, and the revelations
of modern prophets, such as Joseph Smith and Brigham
Young? The Biblical Roots of Mormonism is the
result of an effort to discover Mormonism—root and
branch—as it is revealed in the Bible. Latter-day Saints
want to know the biblical ground they stand on. Others
want to know what Mormons believe and how those beliefs
are biblically justified. Biblical Roots will show
how the Bible, standing alone, sustains Mormon theology
and practice. Each chapter provides detailed commentary on
specific doctrines and gives comprehensive support using
hundreds of biblical passages revealing fresh insights
about the Bible and how to learn and teach from it. The

It’s not that I don’t have weekly, or even biweekly thoughts,
but my lack of time constrains me to move towards a monthly
thought into the foreseeable future. The book I am currently
working on incorporates a brief history of Christianity. To
condense 2000 years of history into a handful of pages has
been daunting to say the least; however, it has given me a
stronger testimony of two important principles. First, the
love of the Lord to make sure his presence was still felt
among Christians even when the church was being led by
unrighteous men. There were decades, even centuries, when the
universal Christian Church was full of corruption, yet the
disciples of Christ were faithful and desiring to do what was
right to build the kingdom of God on earth. Secondly, there
was an unequivocal need for the restoration of the gospel,
especially the priesthood. From the appointment of teenage
popes, to the selling of positions of power, to what was
undoubtedly a vast broken line of succession unable to be
reformed by willing men who could not overcome their pasts,
there was a need for a restoration. At a time of God’s
choosing, it was a young and humble boy in the free land of
America where the Christian faithful were rewarded for their
diligence and where the restoration of the priesthood and
gospel came about. It is so clear, so right, and so undeniably
true. I cannot wait for this book to be published as many will
begin to understand what so many Later-day Saints already
know.
Although
the Foundation for Christian Studies (FCS) focuses its content
on only one denomination of Christianity (The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise known as Mormonism),
visitors are encouraged to check out the FCS Study Forum which is a
portal to the study of other Christian religions and
interactive communication with those of a variety of faiths.
By learning more about other denominations of Christianity the
FCS prays that all Christians can come together in the Body of
Christ to strengthen our local communities, nations, and the
entire world by unifying around common Christian values that
bring peace, joy and strength in the Lord Jesus Christ. By
doing so we can also come to appreciate more fully our own
Christian faith while increasing our understanding of

Apostle Paul urged the Ephesians to put on the “whole armour
of God,” (Eph. 6:13) to guard against principalities and the
rulers of darkness in our world. Paul highlighted the “sword
of the spirit” as part of that armor, using it as a metaphor
for the “word of God” (Eph. 6:17). This admonition from God to
prepare ourselves spiritually with the word of God is carried
out by The Foundation for Christian Studies (FCS) through a
